D'Alessandro plans to develop East Fishkill economy as town supervisor

Nicholas D'Alessandro said he will focus on continuing to develop East Fishkill's economy in his first term as town supervisor.


The 42-year-old Republican earned the position unopposed on Tuesday. He will replace John Hickman in the two-year position, which pays $79,543.


"I am honored and humbled the people picked me to be their town supervisor," D'Alessandro said. "First and foremost, I'm looking forward to expanding the business district as much as possible."


All results are unofficial.


One of D'Alessandro's goals is to create the infrastructure necessary to place businesses in the area of East Fishkill off of Interstate 84.


Town voters also chose Republican Tom Franco and Independent Emanuele Marinaro to fill two board positions in a five-candidate race. The positions carry a four-year term that pays $14,187 annually.


The pair defeated Republican John Jackson and Democrats Edwin Myoshi Jr. and Michael O'Brien.


Carol A. Hurray, a Republican, ran unopposed for town clerk. The two-year position pays $72,941.

Ken Williams ran unopposed for superintendent of highways on the Democrat, Republican, Independence, Conservative party lines. The two-year position pays $92,014.
