Nick D’Alessandro was elected as East Fishkill’s Town Supervisor in November, 2017. He was first elected to public office in 2011, serving as a Town Councilman in East Fishkill.  

Nick has been a Dutchess County resident since he was 3 years old. He is the son of immigrant parents.  Nick and his sister were both raised in East Fishkill where he graduated from John Jay Senior High School and then went on to attend SUNY Dutchess College, then transferred to Western Connecticut State University where he received a Bachelor Degree in Political Science.  Nick has also extended his education with Leadership and Personal Development courses.  

Previously, Nick was a small business owner for over 25 years. He owned and operated five different Italian restaurants and pizzerias, four which were located in Dutchess County.  Nick has always given back to the community through his businesses and personal philanthropy, he understands what small businesses go through and is also a huge advocate for local businesses.  Nick has employed hundreds of people throughout his business career and assisted many employees in opening their own businesses.  

Since becoming Town Supervisor, Nick continues to assist small businesses.  He formed the first Economic and Redevelopment Committee in East Fishkill.  Here, he engaged businesses with open public business forums and assistance measures.  

As Supervisor, Nick’s Economic Development initiatives have spurred the largest economic growth for East Fishkill and all of Dutchess County in the past 40 years.  These initiatives positively effect the entire Hudson Valley area.  He has successfully brought in over $600 Million in new development and adding over 2000 jobs to the local economy.  

Nick has worked tirelessly to establish East Fishkill’s Veterans Council, where they assist all local Veterans in many different ways. He also started the first Municipal Southern Dutchess Infrastructure Committee, which was initiated to share resources and save tax dollars for all adjoining municipalities.  Nick is an executive committee member of the Dutchess County Supervisors and Mayors Association.  Here, he takes an active role with his fellow supervisors and mayors.  He also sits on the Dutchess County Transportation Council, the Dutchess County Community Development Advisory Council, the Wappingers Central School District Career and Technical Education Advisory Council.  

Nick continues to be very active in the community, serving various volunteer organizations including; Mid-Hudson Regional Chamber of Commerce, East Fishkill Rotary, St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus Council 4065, American Red Cross, East Fishkill Historical Society and an active parishioner at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction NY.  

Nick's been married for 21 years, to his beautiful wife Judy.   Together they have 18-year-old twins who are attending Providence College and St. Johns University.
